New Star Trek film
We just saw it this evening.
It was packed as expected and in fact all the showings have been packed.
What did we think?
As a long time Trekkie or Trekker -
It was a 9.5 out of 10!
I was caught in the story within seconds of the film starting.
The story held us enough that we stayed to see all the credits and we were not alone.
I took a little off for the re-imagining, but frankly it was done well and they avoided using the same old "fix".
The casting was interesting.
One cast member really was an oddity but it worked.

The film has laughing, some differences Trekkies/ers will slam, tears(seriously!), and it will likely leave you wanting more.
By the way our copy was having issues with sound and it would lose grip so we had some jumpy parts and still loved it!
So much that we are going back to see it on IMAX.

The fact we were out until after 3am and still made a showing says how much we were looking forward to this movie.
The previews were also woirth it!
GI Joe and Transformers.
Both look very good!
